A project where I developed optimized A* pathfinding and autonomous steering behaviors. Some behaviors I implemented are obstacle avoidance, wandering, and group flocking. Take a look at the page to see example videos and detailed descriptions of each component.
My summer internship at Simcoach Games where I developed two mobile games. The games are published on Apple and Android app stores. “Reinforcers” uses various touch gestures to simulate rebar knot tying. “JobPro: Get Hired!” utilizes the gestures to teach at-risk youth about proper interview behavior and etiquette. *Both games have made a positive impact on Pittsburgh’s community.
ACM CHIPLAY 2015 published our extended abstract! This VR world was invited to present at ACM’s CHIPLAY London, Maker’s Faire and CREATE Festival. It is a single player journey where you lead your fellow ants back home by steering your leaf. Enjoy the 2.5D perspective but don’t let your ants die from natural hazards.
A project with EA where we utilized voice recognition and animation to encourage and prompt children to read. I wrote and programmed various features including a Unity MVC framework to help convert existing childrens books into our project with new animations, karaoke highlighting of words and voice recognition.
A CAVE tour experience (2 demos) for CMU Entertainment Technology Center. CAVE is a 3-walled projection space with a motion floor. I helped develop the demos and explored gameplay within the CAVE. I tested Kinect functionality and developed a cooperative, puzzle game using Playstation Moves. The puzzle game is now a part of CMU ETC’s official CAVE tour.
A single player, space thriller game where you use your magnetic gun to push/pull yourself in zero gravity. Your spaceship encounters an emergency so you must escape from the spaceship ASAP. I utilized raycasting, layers and triggers to create the push/pull mechanic and set up the game environment.
